The Modern Killing Fields: Khmer Krom Buddhists targeted for ethnic cleansing in the Mekong Delta
This report investigates human rights abuses inflicted upon indigenous Khmer Krom Buddhist monks living in the Mekong River Delta region of South Vietnam by the Vietnamese government. Here I’ve compiled evidence suggesting the institutional and systemic targeting of these monks who protest peacefully on behalf of their communities for basic human rights. Among the evidence are the historical and political backdrop canvassing a governmental agenda, as well as the stories told by survivors who have sought asylum in the West.
